Who is more powerful, a 14 year old boy or 10,000 men?
This is for history homework. Basically i'm pretty dumb and not sure what to write. King Richard, when he was 14 (this was ages ago), had to deal with 10,000 men complaining and getting angry and protesting and rebelling (as they were known as the rebels). I think that was the Peasants Revolt? Anyway so basically they refused to pay taxes and attacked tax collectors and gained support from a lot of other people. Then the rebels freed a man from prison. He was in prison because he said that all men should be equal and free. Their leader was Wat Tyler. Kind Richard went to meet the rebels but he didn't land (by boat) and there was no meeting. The rebels entered London and burnt down the Duke Of Lancasters house. King Richard talked to the rebels and agreed that villains should be free men and rebels should be pardoned. The rebels attacked the tower of London and murdered some guy. The king met the rebels leader and killed him. He then said that all men would become free men. I am 12 years old and I am rubbish at history, it makes no sense to me. Thank you in advance!
